Legislation places duties on employers to make sure that their employees are adequately trained, instructed and supervised. IOSH courses provide a great introduction and foundation for good health and safety management.

The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) is the world’s biggest professional health and safety organisation and Select Health and Safety Ltd are accredited to deliver two of the Institute's highly prestigious training packages, Working Safely and Managing Safely.

Working Safely is a one-day course for staff from any sector with no supervisory or managerial responsibility. It provides a grounding in the essentials of health and safety – everyone at work should have an understanding of why they must ‘work safely’ and this course offers exactly that.

Working Safely introduces a completely new approach to health and safety training and offers all the basics in a high impact interactive package.

Module 1 – Introducing working safely

Module 2 – Defining hazard and risk

Module 3 – Identifying common hazards

Module 4 - Improving safety performance

Module 5 – Protecting our environment

For delegates who attend the course and successfully complete the written and practical assessments, there is a choice of accreditation, either an IOSH Working safely certificate or an IOSH passport card.

Managing Safely is a course for managers and supervisors in any sector and any organisation. It’s designed to give managers all they need to know to help them handle health and safety in their teams. The flexible new high impact programme covers all the main health and safety issues, and includes a session tackling the environment too. The course lasts for 24 hours in total.

Managing Safely can be delivered over a full week or on single days or as an evening course and has eight modules:

Module 1 - Introducing Managing Safely

Module 2 - Assessing risks

Module 3 - Controlling risks

Module 4 - Understanding your responsibilities

Module 5 - Identifying hazards

Module 6 - Investigating accidents and incidents

Module 7 - Measuring performance

Module 8 - Protecting our environment

Delegates who successfully complete the written and practical assessments at the end of the course are awarded an IOSH certificate in Managing Safely.

OUR COURSE FEES 

Working Safely The cost of this course is £99 per person.  This fee includes the cost of the IOSH course workbooks valued at £13 each.  This course can be delivered at our training centre in Doncaster or at a venue of your choice.

Managing Safely The cost of this course is £399 per person inclusive of the cost of the IOSH workbooks valued at £16 each. This course can be delivered at our training centre in Doncaster or at a venue of your choice.
